East Carolina Coleslaw

Recipe for July 31, 2011

 

East Nebraska will have the same results with this easy  coleslaw recipe.

 

4 cups finely chopped cabbage*                     1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons freshly grated onion*               1/4 teaspoon whole celery seed

6 tablespoons Hellmann’s mayonnaise           1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon sugar                                          3/4 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar

 

Mix thoroughly all of the ingredients except the cabbage.  Then add the cabbage and stir to mix.  Chill before serving.

Serves 4 - 6
